You can view this special area from the water by boat. A boat trip led by a captain of about 2 hours will take you to the old country via the new.You can also visit the orchid farm in Luttelgeest (9 km). Various cities such as the old fortified town of Steenwijk. Or the old commercial town of Meppel are certainly worth a visit!
